The very vast majority of fundraising programs and events are done by schools and sports leagues that, coincidentally, all tend to their school fundraisers and sports fundraisers in the fall when their year and season is just kicking off. But many groups are finding that if they utilize some spring fundraising ideas, they can avoid the mad fund raising rush that grips the country ever fall.

Now, you must be mindful that if you switch and ONLY do spring fundraisers that you may need to budget more carefully because that money will likely have to carry over into the next year or season. But assuming that you can manage to make the money last, a spring fundraising program can be even more successful than a similar fall program.

Here at Go Green Fundraising we have one program in particular that just excels as a springtime fundraising idea and that is our flower fundraiser. Our flower bulb fund raiser is available from August 15 – December 1, and then January 15 – May 1. The reason for this seasonality is that we only ship bulbs that are meant to be planted in the season in which they are purchased. That means that we will never sell you bulbs that should be planted in March in October because the chances they will grow would be very low. This also means that we can guarantee that you flower bulbs will grow or we will replace them.

There are a number of things that make this such an excellent spring fundraising idea. For one thing, spring is the time when most people are in their yards and gardens working to beautify their landscaping. That makes it a natural and easy thing to approach friends and neighbors about purchasing some bulbs. Another great thing about the flower bulbs as a spring fundraiser idea is that your group earns a flat and whopping 50% fundraising profit and never pays shipping on orders that meet our low minimum.
