Yearbooks, much like time capsules, are a great way to preserve the past. They are a lot of fun to look back on 20 years later and laugh at the silly haircuts and they are also great fun for the students who put them together. At many schools, the students will form a yearbook club who is in charge of putting together the yearbook which includes laying out the book, taking pictures of special events, and interviewing the most interesting teachers and other students. Most of the cost of printing the books is covered by what people pay for the books, but often times there is a need for a bit more funding and that means doing yearbook club fundraisers.
Besides selling advertising space in the back of the yearbook, many yearbook clubs will also do more traditional school fundraisers where they sell products.
